Hutten aims to make a meaningful impact with food that contributes to vitality. With the theme ‘Healty Lunch”we highlight various elements that support this goal. It’s important to focus on vegetables and fruit, choose whole grain products, eat as unprocessed as possible, and occasionally complement meals with meat, fish, or dairy. Staying well hydrated by drinking enough water is equally essential. Consider the following:
- Vitamin: make sure you obtain at least 20–40% of your daily vitamin requirements during lunch. This percentage is based on an average lunch in the Netherlands (bread or salad with standard spreads or ingredients). The recommended daily intake varies from person to person.
- Fiber: eat at least 8–12 grams of fiber with your lunch every day. This is approximately 25–30% of your daily requirement. The recommended daily intake is 30–40 grams per day for adults. Consume at least 8–12 grams of fiber daily with your lunch
- Energy: eat at least 1 piece of fruit (150–200 grams) with your lunch every day. According to the guidelines of the Voedingscentrum, it is recommended to consume at least 250 grams of fruit daily, which equals about 2 pieces of fruit per day. This provides essential vitamins, minerals, and fiber for your health.
- Hydratation: drink at least 1 glass of water (200–250 ml) with your lunch every day. The recommendation for adults is to drink between 1.5 and 2 liters per day.
